    TAS Arson at Deak Street Gagebrook 

    Friday, 21 August 2015 – 10:20 am.

    Police investigate fire at Deak Street, Gagebrook

    Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at 12 Deak Street in Gagebrook at 5:15am today.

    TFS crews quickly extinguished the fire however the structure sustained extensive damage as a result.

    There were no occupants in the house at the time of the fire.

    The privately owned house was under renovation and had previously been damaged by fire. The latest damage is estimated at about $100,000.

    TAS Theft of Black Ford F150 Utility 

    Tuesday, 12 May 2015 – 10:59 am.

    Between the 1st and 2nd May 2015, a black 1992 Ford F150 extra cab utility was stolen from Henty Close in Old Beach.

    The vehicle has not yet been recovered and information is sought as to the vehicle’s current whereabouts and/or the person(s) involved in its theft.

    The utility is quite distinctive, described as having a silver stripe running down both drivers and passenger sides, tinted windows and has mag wheels attached. The registration plate attached to the vehicle at the time of the theft was C93HN.

    TAS Suspected Arson at Douglas Drive Bridgewater 

    Wednesday, 11 February 2015 – 12:59 pm.

    In the very early hours of this morning, 11 February 2015, a vacant property on Douglas Drive, Bridgewater was set alight.

    Police and Tasmania Fire Service attended, however the property was well ablaze and received substantial structural damage.

    TAS Cowle Road Bridgewater Name Released 

    Friday, 28 November 2014 – 3:22 pm.

    Police can confirm that one of the men that died during the incident at Bridgewater on Wednesday evening was Alexander Michael Flockhart, a 33 year old from West Moonah.

    Investigations are continuing into the deaths of the two men, following an altercation at a home on Cowle Road, Bridgewater on Wednesday 26 November 2014.

    TAS Structure Fire New Norfolk 

    Thursday, 29 May 2014 – 4:31 pm.

    Structure Fire at Graham Court, New Norfolk

    At approximately 8:30am on Thursday, 29 May 2014, Tasmania Police and Tasmania Fire Service (TFS) responded to a house fire at Graham Court in New Norfolk.

    The fire appeared extinguished upon arrival; however the residence, owned by Housing Tasmania, sustained extensive damage as a result. The estimated cost of damage was in excess of $80,000.

    There were no occupants in the house at the time of the fire. The fire has been determined suspicious and police are seeking assistance from anyone who has information in relation to this incident. Information can be forwarded via Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or direct to investigating detectives on 62684106.

    TAS Arson at Brighton Army Barracks 

    Tuesday, 10 September 2013 – 2:25 pm.

    At approximately 8.25pm on Monday 9 September 2013, Tasmania Fire Service, and Tasmania Police were alerted to a structure fire at the old Brighton Army Barracks, located on Menin Road Brighton.

    On arrival, one of four buildings on the property was fully ablaze, and has been totally destroyed as a result of the fire. Other buildings have been vandalised, with damage, including smashed windows believed to have occurred sometime in the last ten days.

    The building is privately owned and was unoccupied at the time of the fire; damage is estimated to be around $100,000 and the fire is being treated as suspicious.
